Dear Restored Word Fellowship Church Family,
As of recent, the government had introduced phase 1 of reopening and easing the restrictions on mass gatherings. Now in Phase 2 the restriction is currently 1/3 of the building capacity for church gatherings. This means we will only have 38 seats available per service.
We do not believe this is religious persecution that necessitates a need to defy our government’s request as they try to contain COVID-19. We want to do our part and make sure we do not increase the spread of this virus in our congregation, nor hurt our assembly in any way.
Notice as of August 1st, 2020 the City of Edmonton has made mask wearing maditory for all public interaction within the city. Personal masks are encouraged to bring, disposable masks will be available for you as supplies last.
BYLAW 19408: Temporary Mandatory Face Covering Bylaw
A person must wear a face mask covering at all times while in an indoor, enclosed or substantially enclosed public place or in a public vehicle.
Bro. Sieg and the RWF team has come with some guidelines for us to be able to resume services safely. These guidelines may seem difficult and different, but we are looking for a safe way for us to attend in-person services. We are trusting this is not go on too much longer, so we can once again resume a sense of normalcy in our services. The following recommendations and guidelines are those which we ask for your support and co-operation. Abiding by social distancing guidelines gives you and your family the chance to attend at least one service a week in person.
1. Please do not come to church if you or
anyone in your family are sick or having
symptoms of coughing, runny nose, fever, or
2. We ask that there be no shaking of hands, or
hugging during this time.
3. The deacons will seat you in the sanctuary
to maintain social distancing (6 feet
apart). Family units will be seated
together to increase our numbers of attendance.
Please be aware you will not be able to sit in your
normal location in the sanctuary.
4. The local authorities have mandated wearing face masks or coverings while
gathering as a mandatory function. We would like to ask everyone that
has their own face covering would wear it when
coming to the services. If you do not have a
face covering, we will provide you with one
before entering the church. (as supplied last)
Please wear the face mask while you seated in the sanctuary.
We ask that during our song service you
join in worship from the heart, as the worship team leads in singing.
5. We will have hand sanitizing stations set up. Please make use of these stations when entering and exiting.
PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS!
6. We are asking there be no congregating in
the vestibule, bathrooms, nurseries, front porch
or parking lot, before or after services. After
the service is over, the deacon will direct the
congregation by families to their cars.
To reaffirm, WE ASK THERE BE NO
SHAKING OF HANDS, NOR HUGGING
ANYONE DURING THIS TIME.
Although we are opening our church services in this manner if for any reason you do not feel safe or comfortable to return at this time we understand. This decision will be left up to you as an individual and at your discretion. Please note, the services will not continue to be streamed via our YouTube channel.
God bless you all.
